problem loging in [solved]

Hi,
I just upgraded to xorg 6.8.0-3 and to kde 3.3.0-2.  I use kdm as my DM.  When I log in as a regular user, I only get a borderless terminal in the upper left corner.  I tried loging in to various WM (KDE, windowmaker, xfce4) but it doesn't work.  Root can log in without any problem so I suspect to be a permission problem but I don't know which files to change.

Thanks

Re: problem loging in [solved]

I have a similar problem: KDE now works das root again, but das user KDE doesn't load. I get the splashscreen but soon i get a black screen and then back again at KDM. I don't know how to solve it.

EDIT: OK seems like a "pacman -Syu" solved my problem. A new kdeartwork package was installed and i can login as user again.
