When trying to make a full system upgrade I get this error due to the system-config-printer package:

Check what package owns those files (pacman -Qo <full pah to file>). If they are not owned by another package, it is safe to delete them. Otherwise, file a bug report.

Huh, none of the files were owned by a package so I deleted them and the upgrade went fine. I wonder how they ended up being orphaned though …
