Hey guys,
Just got some photos of the finished product from the jeweller. Have a look here:
If you're as stunned as I am and want to order right away, send me an e-mail -- dusty@[linux.ca|archlinux.org|archlinux.ca]. I'm working on a storefront for the badges, keys, and jewellery using Satchmo, but it will probably be a while before I get it up.
The prices will be:
Ring: 88 Euro (approx $118 USD)
Pendant: 33 Euro (approx $44 USD)
Shipping: 5 Euro (approx $6 USD)
They will be shipped directly from the jeweller who is located in Germany, he says shipping is the same worldwide.
Dusty
Edit: fixed the link to the store - Allan

Haha, Arch is going bling. If we get a rap singer to wear these, world domination is just a stepstone away.
Good job Dusty.
Arch - It's something refreshing

I doubt it, conduct a poll and see how many rappers we have in the geeks communities.
WOW, Dusty, that surely looks good. I may buy one of those as my wedding ring.

I'm pretty sure phrakture does rap. He also breakdances while juggling cars.

I'd be really impressed if your fianceé allows this. But I guess if she's marrying YOU.... ;-)

I, for one, would like something to wear in my nose.

Ooh... I think my wife would kill me for buying an Arch Linux ring... maybe it's worth it!

Just a thought - would it be possible to make these as those little lapel badge thingies? Ubuntu has one, Tux has one, EEF has one, FSF has one... it would be nice if Arch had one too!
I would definitely buy a few of those, and I'm sure I'm not the only one!
Nice work!

A soldering iron, a pendant, and a lapel pin should do nicely!
Then you could submit your patch upstream to the maintainer.

I expect arch cuff links would be very nice.
I might be tempted to buy a key ring if I could see a pic.

You (and I) have been around here too long
archlinux - please read this and this — twice — then ask questions.

... and I saw this today: http://www.linux.com/feature/150831
So if you someone could promote Arch to be used on Indamixx who knows what happens.
Question: how to combine the KISS philosophy with bling-bling? It sounds like we have a dependency conflict there.
Really nice Jewellery!

I've talked to the jeweller and he said he can drop the eyelet and add a pin to the pendant. Its about 18mm in size, so would make a nice pin. I think it would be the same price as the pendant, but I'm still checking that with him.

How long until we get matching 4-finger diamond-studded gold rings with "Arch" and "Linux" on them, respectively?
When that happens, can we change the logo to "A simple, light-weight, highly pimpable Linux distribution"?
EDIT
Sorry, I completely forgot to mention that they look great. Well done.

The page you are looking for is doing a really good job of impersonating a page that doesn't exist.
Not available anymore?

Indeed! I hope this doesn't sound like advertising, but I am absolutely delighted with my ring, I think its worth a lot more than I paid. A girl on the plane even commented on it. Can any other Linux merchandise do that?! ;-)

It may be a weird question to ask, but does any of the money go to Arch Linux as a donation, or is it just a payment to the jeweller? Cause I guess that's a nice way to donate cash to this project (if it's only payment for the labour + work + shipment, I'd even pay more so I would get the feeling Arch gets something from my money).
Cheers!

One question Dusty, is the ring one size only??
