It appears to be a mono-addins problem:
http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11025
http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/11429
Edit: Here is a fix linked in the bug reports - http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=47813

I had this problem so I installed 'gnome-desktop-sharp'. The program crashes the first time I try to run after installing that package, but it has been fine ever since. Removing this package it worked once afterwards, and then back to the original problem.
Hope this helps.
