Mic does not work with Alsa and Audigy 2

Alright, here goes.

I have this card:

0 [Audigy2        ]: Audigy2 - Audigy 2 [SB0240]
                            Audigy 2 [SB0240] (rev.4, serial:0x10071102) at 0xac00, irq 17

Audigy 2. Very nice, does hardware mixing and microphone input. Well, it used to do microphone input. Then it started being a primadonna and decided that I wasn't good enough for mic input, or something like that.

I would use OSS4 (which I happen to like a lot), but unfortunately, my Audigy is so stuck up that it won't work.

I'm hoping that there's something stupid that I missed.

I've been using Audacity and Quake Wars primarily as my test subjects.
