I want to try a tiling WM so I tried awesome... I copied the default config file to .config/awesome...
Well the problem is, that I can't do anything with awesome, because I can't even start an Xterm (right mouse button click)
when I looked into the output in the tty1 there was:
On startup:
W: awesome: luaA_spawn:511: execl 'awsetbg /usr/share/awesome/themes/default-background.png&' failed: No such file or directory
Then (the strange thing) after clicking the right mouse button:
W: awesome: luaA_spawn:511: execl 'xterm&' failed: No such file or directory
Whats wrong? Have I forgotten to configure anything else?

Seems like your system is trying to find the awsetbg /usr/share/awesome/themes/default-background.png& and xterm& binaries. You need to figure out how to just start awsetbg and xterm, passing the appropriate parameters over.
-dav7
Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.

Reinventing the wheel is fun. You get to redefine pi.

I tried giving the full path to xterm (/usr/bin/xterm) in the awesome config... Strange that it didn't work...
Anyway - That doesn't really matter, now I am happy with WMII
