hi!
yesterday i installed an arch to test, whether i can cope with that distribution (it is my first arch-system). there were no problems.
now after installing the main system i want to install xfce. i have done all in the same way as the day before. but now there is the message:
Fehler: Konnte Datei '**' nicht von ** übertragen: File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no acces)
i try different mirrors, but there are no changes. then i look at the server to check, whether the file is really unavailable: on the mirrors is only a later version of each file.
it is possible, that the editors had removed the old version and forgot to change the dependencys in xfce?
i hope you can help me!
ps: there is still a different: yesterday i had forgot to upgrade (pacman -Syu) and today i upgraded pacman before i started to install xfce.

This tells me you need to do a "pacman -Sy" to update your local databas or "pacman -Syy" to force it. Then try installing it again.

i have done 'pacman -Sy'. the updated local db must be wrong.

Can you give the full error? What file is missing? Also, have you tried different mirrors (do a "pacman -Syy" after changing)

The first mirror you are using is out of date (see http://users.archlinux.de/~gerbra/mirrorcheck.html). Comment that mirror out, "pacman -Syyu", "pacman -S xfce", and then you should be fine.
