Did oss 4.1_rc2-2 break mpd for anyone? [SOLVED]

It is releated to mpd-ffmpeg-git. It seems that even though I had uninstalled some (most) mpd sound dependencies, something was still running in memory. Restarting the computer rendered my version of mpd unusable

Pacman installed oss 4.1_rc2-2 and now mpd doesn't work. mpd daemon is running and the clients can see the playlist. I'm getting nothing unexpected from the terminal from mpc or Ario. This is what I tried:

-->Stopping and restarting mpd
-->Rebuilding mpd against the current oss
-->Restarting oss
-->completely removing /usr/lib/oss and resintalling
-->Rebuilding oss against my machine

Nothing changed in my config file which worked fine yesterday. oss works fine for Mplayer and Flash, so it's working. It shouldn't matter, but I'm running mpd-ffmpeg-git. But as I said, it all worked before the upgrade.

This is all that changed:
