Ever since Firefox 3.01 or so, I've noticed Firefox keeps forgetting some of my cookies. The cookies are still "there," haven't expired, still have the right data as far as I can tell, but sporatically every few days some of my cookies cease to do anything.
I don't have any extensions that do anything with cookies.
I know this isn't an Arch issue, but has anyone else noticed this? I don't know how to go about figuring out what is wrong.

I don't have this problem, but maybe an extension manipulates cookies without you knowing it? I'd try to deactivate all extensions for a few days to see if the cookies work again... Then I would activate one extension after the other... That's the way I would do it...

This has been plaguing me since FF 3.x. My homepage is igoogle and every 4 or 5 times that I open FF I am logged out of my homepage. I have tried disabling all extensions and it still doesn't work.

I get that, lose my google search preferences, and lose my logins for some web forums.
Trying disabling my extensions just in case, don't use most of them anyways.

you have to list more details:
- what extensions are you running on firefox?
- what does your options -> privacy settings look like (ie.. accept cookies all the time, ask every time, etc.) also check out the "exceptions" button, what do you have for "allow for session" and "block"? if you have any of the google pages in "allow for session" your cookies are valid but you will never stay logged in.
I usually keep google pages at "allow", not "allow for session"

Why oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill?"

Extensions are stumbleupon, tab mix plus, and adblock plus
accept all cookies, no exceptions
Its not every time I start firefox, or reboot or anything, its random, and not all at the same time. My cookies aren't expiring either.

It happened again with all my extensions disabled.

Hmm. Where are cookies stored? Perhaps you could make a script to monitor that directory and see what happens?

try this:
- delete all your cookies (or just the google cookies)
- set privacy to "allow all cookies" but then "ask me every time"
- restart firefox, go to google.com, when it asks to store cookie, say "allow" (Not "allow for session"), then check the box to "always remember my choice" or whatever
- log in to igoogle, repeat the "allow" -> "always remember"
- once logged in do not log out, just close firefox, and see if it works after you restart
