I am looking for a webcam that will work with skype throughout kernels etc. Models and a link to where I can buy?

Well, since I don't have a dedicated mic I use my Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX's inbuilt microphone whenever I want to talk over Skype. I don't use video often though, since I have a (25GB) bandwidth cap.
I've upgraded my kernel about 3 times IIRC and it hasn't failed once, if that helps.
