Weird render problem GTK

Hi all

Since a few days I have that weird problem in firefox (running in a 32bit chroot environment). My scrollbar is useless since I cannot see the "block". Also the borders of the address-bar are invisible. The menus of firefox (File, Edit, View, ...) have no border, those menus seems flat and gray.

Also some elements in the websites I'm viewing are weird. The text-area I'm writing this post has for example has no border. Also the input field for the Subject has no border. There is no border on some buttons like for example the "Browse..." buttons next to upload-fields, and even no border on the "Submit" button of this form.

Does anyone recognize this problem or has a solution?

Regards

Re: Weird render problem GTK

What GTK theme are you using? Does using a different one affect the problem?

Re: Weird render problem GTK

I'm using Candido-Light. If I temporary remove my .gtkrc-2.0 file to test firefox without special theme, the problem is still the same.

More information: I'm using the same .gtkrc-2.0 file for my native arch64 environment and withing this environment these problems seems not to exist. I've thested this with Leafpad, so I'll try install Leafpad in the 32bit envronment to test if its a general gtk or a firefox-issue.

Update: Seems to be a general gtk (?) issue, because in my 32bit environment, both Leafpad and Firefox suffer the problem.

Update 2: Below, I'll post my .gtkrc-2.0 file. If I remove the theme directory in the 32bit environment, leafpad seems perfect (scrollbar etc showing). If I copy the theme directory from my 64bit environment to my 32bit environment and chmod it with enough rights, the problem shows again.

include "/usr/share/themes/Candido-Light/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
gtk-font-name = "Sans 8"

Re: Weird render problem GTK

I fixed the problem smile. I restored the gtk2 and reinstalled gail. Probably some incompatibility with the new gtk smile.

[2008-10-28 22:43] upgraded gtk2 (2.14.4-1 -> 2.12.11-3)
[2008-10-28 22:43] installed gail (1.22.3-1)
