In that package i can found this lib?
It's needed by PowerDVD.
Well, libstdc++ comes with gcc. However, the program you want to install seems to want a different (older) version of this library. The best solution would be to compile it with the current version of gcc, but this is if course impossible if the source code is not available to you. You can try to make a soft link to /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6, but it will probably not work.
My advice to you is to use a non-commercial, open-source player like mplayer or xine.
if you want a dvd burning program you can use dvd+rw-tools. the application growisofs works great. there are simple tutorials online. one thing to note though that if you are trying to make backups of dvd movies you will need to make an image first. there are tutorials online for that too.
i would provide you more info but all of my files are buried in boxes at home that i won't have access to for a week or two.
I am not your friend
thnx, i just wanted to try PowerDVD under linux.
