Can't find it with google, so you might be one to answer..

How do I download and install irssi? I've tried to read thru the 'man pacman' etc.. But just don't get it how do I search for it and how do I download/install it..
Sorry for stupid questions (n00b!), but when I reach irssi, I can ask more in there. smile

Thanks for your help!

http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/irssi/

pacman -Sy irssi

edit: do this in the root terminal. You can enter it by writing "su"

From another Arch newbie:

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman

The documentation is clear and very helpful, thanks Arch Linux people!

Suggested reading:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Off … tall_Guide

Also it looks like networking might not be working correctly, can you ping google.com to make sure it's up?

The suggestion box only accepts patches.

Yes. If your networking is okay as per the above post (if you can browse the web for instance), you should just choose a different mirror in the file /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist (needs root/sudo access) by commenting out the first one that is in use, archlinux.c3sl.ufpr or whatnot, because it's down or broken or something.
