I've been searching for an alternative to this app some time ago. You can check these:
http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/~d3august/xt/
http://geotrace.sourceforge.net/
The problem with this kind of tools is that you really need a fresh database of IPs and their geographical location. So even if you find the tool you might have to pay for the database upgrades:
http://www.maxmind.com/
http://www.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/ (this is a free db with monthly upgrades but I haven't checked it myself)
http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info/ (ip-to-country handbook http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info/node/view/5)
There are also some php/perl apps/modules that can use geo-ip location database and show a nice map etc. For example:
http://www.spamcannibal.org/docs/Geo-IP-PurePerl.html
http://www.xpenguin.com/ip-atlas.php
http://sourceforge.net/projects/geoip/
In Linux I usually just use mtr. Not very visual :-) but it works under console and in gui (gtk1) - no geo information though :-(
