Cpufreq question

Hmmm I've been considering enabling cpufreq on my arch box, although it isn't a laptop. I'm not sure if it is possible to scale a "normal" cpu. Does anyone know if I can do this? By the way my /proc/cpuinfo says:

Re: Cpufreq question

You need powernow/speedstep/whatever support, which your cpu doesn't have. You could try ACPI cpu throttling.
