someone experience with amarok in combination with an iriver e100

it seems an iriver e100 doesn't get detected as removable device via hal, if i check out the drive structure there is indeed only the device ( for exemple /dev/sdg ), but there is no subdevice ( like /dev/sdg1 )
it looks like thats the problem for the autodetection but i can't find a way to make it happen via dbus and hal

someone with a solution with comparable devices ?

Google is your friend

but it seems that this uses MTP, and I believe in the preferences panel for Amarok you must specify that you are going to connect a MTP device, but I'm not sure -- I own an ipod and don't often work with MTP devices

the iriver e100 can be set to msc which i did because it wasn't working with libmtp

the solutions i found via your google link are still the same and don't offer me a real solution, just somewhat workarounds

i now use it via manual mounting

I also own an iRiver E100 player and the problem is present here too. The device is seen by the system

and the funny thing is, that hal/d-bus daemons are correctly mounting microSDHC card, which is an external memory in my iRiver, but not it's internal memory. Here's the log
