Hi,
I am looking to buy an pda off ebay wondered if there any that would run Arch?
They seem cheap atm as mini notepads are taking over the world :-)

You could get an N810, but it uses an ARM processor so you would need to run uArch.
You would still have pacman though and you would be able to enable or disable X (and replace it with framebuffer), and sound, GPS, the little multicolor LED, the keyboard state sensor switch, etc, all have modules for Linux because Linux is this device's official OS
You can also rebuild the kernel for it - the kernel isn't "unmodifiable". There are some closed source binary drivers though, like for bluetooth, GPS, etc, because of NDAs.

Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.
