If you are a T43 Thinkpad owner you may already know that changing hard drives in your laptop is somewhat restricted due to the extra additions to HDD firmware needed for the IBM security, and hard drive Active Protection System.
IBM/Lenovo have released some firmware upgrades for different drives, but these upgrades don't cover drives much past 120GB.
One of the mods at Thinkpads.com has started a petition for firmware updates for later model drives, the link is here:
