Are all of the mirrors that are days out of sync being notified? For me there are no good American mirrors left that aren't at least three days behind.

Sorry for the delay about mirror status after the offline.
@skottish: US mirrors that shoud be in sync: ftp.gtlib.gatech.edu, mirror.cs.vt.edu, ftp.ibiblio.org
Current status of the mirrors is a little bad. After a few days now there are currently ~17 of 62 checked mirrors with mostly not synced for 3 days. I think these a mostly hanging cron jobs when the archlinux rsync server was not reachable.
I will write a mail to all these contacts today later.

Thanks for all of your work GerBra. I really appreciate it.
The mirrors linked above are incredibly slow for me. I'll just be patient until everyone catches up with us.

Which just happened.

Yes, it's outdated again now since ~9 days, before the is-archlinux.org-down weekend.
Mail is sent to all mirrors which have problems after this. I will sent again this weekend to those who still are outdated.

GerBra, thanks for your hard work! Hopefully it'll start syncing again soon.
EDIT: It has now synced, yay!

If you want I can poke on the administrator for ftp.ds.hj.se as I know him, also ftp.gigabit.nu is now back in sync and seems to be syncing properly again.
As for ftp.gigabit.nu something seems to lock up the rsync running on ftp.gigabit.nu, if I had to guess it seems to stall without acctually timeing out.. I've deducted that one occurance was due to the downtime a few weeks back.

@_nalle: Yes, both swedish mirrors are back, on gigabit it was a stalling rsync.
All problems due archlinux downtime seems to be solved now, current problems are unique.

I appologize for asking, but what is the recommended mirror to use? I guess the one that has the best stability and more frequent sync.

Have a look at http://www.archlinux.de/?page=MirrorStatus The columns are sortable. "Delay" is the avarage time the mirror needs to sync from the master server and "response time" is the time needed for downloading the db-files; so its a kind of performance indicator.
Offline
Hmm, never found a link to that site. Maybe it should be promoted a bit better.
The Respone and Delay time, is that avrage, or is is the last day?
And archlinux.puzzle.ch seems like a quick mirror.

its the average value of the (afaik) last two weeks. The mirrors are probed every hour.

@MindTooth
But you must remember that the download time from Pierre's staus site is based on his location. So that must not be the same for you in Norway. For a minor count of hops you should use a mirror close to your location. If this is the fastest you should check with the rankmirrors script (comes with pacman).

Thank you for the advise. Will check it out tomorrow.
