Terminal selecting text problem

Hi,

I have a problem with selecting text in the terminal window. When I copy and paste, I usually select the text with the cursor, and then paste it with the middle mouse button. This works properly in GTK programs, but in the terminal it  stopped working. It visually does not select the text and consequently  the text is not saved. When I press the middle mouse button, then some old selected text is pasted.

Any ideas how to solve this? I am using Aterm as terminal and fluxbox.

ncurses can interrupt it. Have you tried performing both copying and pasting while holding shift?

edit: oh never mind I see you said pasting works, but not as expected.
