Is there anyway to keep python 2.5.2?

Since lots of packages dependency changed to python>=2.6, pacman -Syu won't work if I keep python 2.5.2

But I didn't want to upgrade python,  is there any workaround?

Why don't you want to upgrade python? If you're serious about it, just don't upgrade your system.

But I have a feeling there's a non-reason why you don't want to upgrade. We should still have a python24 package if you want to mimic that.

You could probably make a pkgbuild yourself and mimic the Gentoo slotting system. Otherwise no there isnt a way afaik.

I'm ok with system python upgraded to 2.6.

The problem is that I'm developing some python projects targeted on python2.5, I'm not going to upgrade *all my code* to python 2.6 anytime soon.
So I need to find a way to make python 2.5.2 and python 2.6 co-existed in my Arch
