I'm trying to install mailman, which depends on exim, and I'm running postfix to be able to send mails around. But exim and postfix don't like eachother because of the following conflicts:
/etc/mail/aliases
/usr/sbin/sendmail
Are there other packages I should use for the same functionality? Should I file a bug report, because the conflict needs to be pointed out in the package or be fixed?

File a bug report... it's still an up in the air problem. The accepted solution is to use provides (smtp-server) and make everything depend on that... there is one or two issues with it, but I think we should migrate to it soon.
For now you can -Sd to ignore dependencies.

Ok, I'll try that. Meanwhile, I've filed the bug report.

Well, even though indeed mailman would install after this conflict was worked around, mailman doesn't seem to work nicely with sendmail. It's still expecting as group "exim", though that might not be the only problem I'm having.
