I was having a problem with my folder view applet in KDEmod with the unstable repository posted, so I posted a bug on KDE's bug tracker. I got this response...
"rebuild the folderview applet .. and the rest of workspace for that matter. you
have a binary incompatible build."
I'm not sure I really understand what this means. Can someone translate this into plain english for me?

Yes, you have to recompile those packages from source. Practically, in our case, it means you have to use ABS to rebuild those packages.
The best thing to do is to have a look at the ABS wiki page.
