I'm compiling my own kernel to see if I that can help bootup (it probably will). I'm compiling drivers as built in and not modules. However Ndiswrapper and VirtualBox use a module to work. When installing VirtualBox I remember it telling me a command to rebuild the module but I don't remember it. Anyone know what the commands are?
The currently installed kernel is in the 2.6.27 tree and the one I'm compiling is 2.6.27.5, would I need to do the mkinitcpio thing?

if you are using virtualbox_bin from aur then the command is vbox_build_module
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Thanks.
I'm looking at the Alsa components, do I need the OSS api included; I mean the compatibility layer thing not the real OSS.
