Trouble with the Candido GTK engine

coarseSand and I were discussing some problems that I'm having with the gtk-candido-engine. The discussion needs to be in its own thread, so here it is.

I installed both a self compiled version of GIMP 2.6 and gimp-devel today, and when I go to Edit-->Preferences-->Default Image, GIMP segfaults. I checked the (129 line) stack trace and it mentions candido. coarseSand said that it's working fine for him. Is anyone else having problems like this? I'm on 64 bit and all of the installed libraries are from the non-testing repos.

I have a similar experience but I already tried a few different engines, all with the same result (I did File->New). So I guess only that a theme-engine routine is involved doesn't mean it causes the problem.
