xorg-server-utils upgrade from 7.3 to 7.4 = faster x display

Hi. I have just upgrade xorg-server-utils from 7.3 to 7.4
and everything seems to display faster in X.
Is it just my feeling/instinct is tricking me or is 7.4 is faster than 7.3?

Everything about Arch Linux is cool man...

I upgraded to 7.4 yesterday and my mouse and keyboard stopped working. My trackpad still worked though.
So I downgraded.
Don't ask me to file a bug report.

No need to file one -- just add this to your xorg.conf.

Section "ServerFlags"
    Option      "AutoAddDevices"         "false"

I had the same problem as sand_man.
How will disabling hotplugging effect me if I use external mouse/keyboard? Will I have to restart X or the entire OS?

Is there any other solution to this?

P.S. I made http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=59275 before sand_man directed me here. I posted my xorg.conf + some other info there.

7.4 is indeed noticably faster, I think my 'environment' (x itself, compiz, lxpanel etc) loads about twice as fast

Maybe it's connected then. I switched to testing today, and with the new open source ati driver i get 4x more fps than before. It's an ati x200, and according to the ubuntu wiki it doesn't have 3d acceleration. Did it get 3d in xorg 7.4 + new driver??? And opengl isn't using the processor 100% ...
