MPD running, but not as user ?

Hi all

Is it possible to make MPD running even if I've logged out ??

So it should be possible to make it continue playing after users logout, can't figure it how to do it hmm

mpd is a daemon, so yes, it will keep running when you log out, it will also confinue running, when you close your GUI program (except if you configured your program to stop mpd when exiting). So mpd will keep running, until you stop the daemon or kill the processes

little off:
Some days ago my laptop was being used as a music box and I used mpd with ncmpcpp (can be found in AUR, it's an ncursed based client for mpd and a fork of ncmpc) without X being started smile The cool thing is, nobody could do stupid things on my machine, because nobody knew, what the fuck is wrong, why there is no mouse etc big_smile Really funny!!

hmm.. your starting post sounded as if your mpd stops playing music as soon as you log out.

But now i have the feeling you didnt even try mpd before you asked that question...
