Yeah this kind of thing is used alot for playing games (like WoW). funny how they say it stops other people watching your traffic... but they can watch it roll
All the encryption + ads would add a bit of overhead though if your on a metered connection.

if you live outside US you can still pretend your in US with a US proxy.. i made a post with link to proxies somewhere else on this forum but proxies can be found on google i suppose..

So basically this just creates VPN tunnel to service providers VPN server and all traffic goes trough that tunnel. Rest of the world sees only that your traffic is coming from that service provider. I'd suppose that it is good to secure your traffic over unsecured wifi links and overcome some country specific limitations (like Chinas great firewall or access some US only services outside US).

OpenVPN is not working for me, maybe I have set it up wrong so is there a safe easier way to do this?
