volwheel

I like volwheel quite a bit - but I don't know how to change it over to control a different set of channels.  I have the default sound of the laptop, but I also have a logitech usb speaker adapter connected that controls the external speakers.  On the preferences of volwheel I see it set to PCM; how can I detect what the USB is so that I can change the volwheel config to control the external speakers?

Re: volwheel

Changing it to Master should do the trick.

Re: volwheel

That didn't work sad

When I click on the mixer button on volwheel it's showing my HDA Intel as the card it's controlling.  I need it to control my Logitech USB Headset - any thoughts?

Re: volwheel

Volwheel is nothing but a perl script and its a direct gui front line for amixer. Open /usr/bin/volwheel with your favourite text editor and edit the commands. Subs volup, voldown, and mute are the ones you want to adjust. Considering that the amixer command it calls doesn't have a -D or -c flag, I don't think it actually provides support for different devices. But thank god its open sourced then.
