software startup problem with libelf.so.1

Hi, guys
    I have tried to run a software from archlinux, but it warned that the program cannot load libelf.so.1. I have found the libelf.so libelf.so.0 and libelf-0.8.10.so in /usr/lib, so i created a link libelf.so.1 to libelf-0.8.10.so. Now the software can start and work, but it still showed the following waring message: "/usr/lib/libelf.so.1: no version information available".

    i have noticed that the libelf maintanence is out of date, can anyone explain the warning message and show me some better solution for this problem? thanks
