KDE4 Akregator problem [Solved - subwindow hidden]

Recently upgraded, yesterday I believe.

After having tried deleting the Akregator directory under ~/.kde4/ I finally have an Akregator that shows feed items.  Only problem is, I cannot mark as read individual articles, which is usually done by clicking/opening the article.  You can click on "Complete Story" and open it to read it, but it doesn't mark that article read.  You have to mark the entire feed as read.  This is unacceptable.  Hope an upgrade is coming soon.

Re: KDE4 Akregator problem [Solved - subwindow hidden]

I am having similar troubles. With "View Modes" "Normal" and "Widescreen", selecting a feed from the left only gives the option to click a link to a homepage... basically useless. "Combined View" is an improvement. I am able to see each article on the right, but unable to mark as read or delete or etc.

Yeah, someone borked Akregator up good.  I'm having high cpu usage occasionly when using it.  Usually at feed update time.

Solution: Revert to using Google Reader until this gets fixed.

This is annoying but...

I'll use your attached image as a reference... if you switch to normal view, just below the search bar you can "pull" down a window frame revealing the article list we were searching for. I've observed this on arch and ubuntu. Looks like a bug with the default setting to me. hth.
