FreeNX some functionality broken by Samba update

I just tried to use FreeNX on a new machine I installed and I can't use the printer and file sharing option. When I tried to use it I was greeted with an error about smbmount. When I tried smbmount on the command line it gave me a "command not found" error. I looked into it and sure enough the command has been deprecated in favor of mount.cifs. There is a place in the configuration file "node.conf" for changing the smbmount location and command. I tried that but got a different error about permissions when I replaced it with /sbin/mount.cifs. Any ideas on how to fix this other than upstream?
