My laptop is having a very interesting issue which I have utterly failed to solve and I am hoping that you folks can help me out. When using Openbox, using a usb mouse is fine, and using the touchpad is fine. However when I press the button on the touchpad which enables/disables it and click on the openbox desktop with the usb mouse or the touchpad Openbox instantly segfaults (How are you gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. (Openbox has received signal 11)). I can tell that this is a very openbox specific problem because it does not happen in either xfce or gnome, in fact it does not happen when I click inside a window while using openbox, only when I click on the desktop.
I tried installing synaptics and properly configuring my xorg.conf in case that was the culprit (the touchpad had been working out of the box before) but it had no effect.
I only noticed this around a week ago, but I pacman -Syu regularly and I am not sure which update(s), if any, could be at fault.

This issue sounds like a good candidate for Openbox bug tracker.

The Openbox bug report page seems to be down for the moment, but I will be sure to make an entry once it returns. Shall I take it there is nothing else to be done?

It never hurts to try and look for a solution, but considering that the problem doesn't happen in xfce and gnome it seems like it's an issue with openbox.
EDIT: another idea would be to ask about this on openbox mailing list, but my guess is that they'll probably tell you to make a bug report...

Thanks for your quick replies, I probably would've gone nuts trying to find a solution on my end (not that I can completely stop trying, it's such an addiction).
