I just installed aMSN and the plugin snack.
I have no problem with webcam, that works just fine. My problem is how to make the microphone work.
The microphone is built into the webcam. The webcam is a QuickCam Communicate Deluxe.
When I'm trying to record my voice in aMSN it doesn't work.
I have these input units to deal with in aMSN Preferences:
/dev/dsp
/dev/dsp1
/dev/audio
/dev/audio1
/dev/sound/dsp
/dev/sound/dsp1
/dev/sound/audio
/dev/sound/audio1
But none of them works.
This is my soundcard:
root /etc # lspci | grep audio
00:04.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation CK804 AC'97 Audio Controller (rev a2)
Does anyone have the same setup ?
Any hints will be much appreciated

Best way would be to recompile snack adding --enable-alsa to the ./configure line of the PKGBUILD.
You will also need to apply this patch for the compilation to be successful : http://gilles.hamel.free.fr/alsa.patch
