I want to assign the keys Alt_L and Left to another single key. I know the keycode to the key that I want to assing the other two keys to. At her moment it's unassigned. How can this be done? Can it be done?
I have tested out xmodmap. Haven't found a way to assing two keys to a single key.
I'm currently running imwheel for my forward and back buttons on my mouse. There I haven't found out if it's possible to assign keysyms to the keyboard instead of the mouse.
I have also had a peak at lineak, but witout any luck.
Besides, I'm running fluxbox. But I haven't been able to find a way to do it in the keys file either.
Any ideas, anyone who understand my english?
The computer is a IBM Thinkpad T30. It has two keys that is used the same way as back and forward buttons on a mouse.

ok, so you're trying to set up your keyboard's back button to Alt_L + Left?
This link should help you out. You can use the handy xev proram to find out the keycode for your back/forward keys, and use xhkeys to map those keys to something else.

I did it the easy way. Just asked if someone would do it for me. And they did.
