Well, I've been trying to replace KDEmod with XFCE, and I want all apps to look consistent, I currently use Amarok since I have a large collection (+15000) so I need something that works fine for that and iPod support is a must (iPod nano 3rd gen, exaile doesn't work with it either), I tried to use rhythmbox but it just crashes randomly for no reason so I don't know, and if it has gapless playback it would be much much better tho.

Try banshee. Im not sure if it supports ipods.

Banshee should support ipods, and work fine with a large collection. At the end of the day, it's free to try out, too

Thanks
Well I've been trying banshee but it seems to be a little but sluggish, any alternatives?

I've never tried it, but maybe Quod Libet?

Use GTKpod for your iPod, and Sonata + MPD for music. This is my favorite setup right now.
Stop looking at my signature. It betrays your nature.

Well I used to like it, but I don't know, it doesn't work fine with iPods

mmm well I could use GTKpod, but I can't use MPD, I have my music on several externals which aren't connected all the time (I only have a laptop), so having to change the path everytime I start MPD isn't good D:, I like MPD + Sonata though, but I tried it and it's really annoying having to do that

You could set up a music directory full of symlinks, pointing at your external HDs...
But i would prefer using Banshee

Well I've been trying Banshee and Quodlibet, but I like more Quadlibet so far, however the only issues is that neither of them support gapless playback , I'll keep looking

Set up different profiles for MPD for your external music collection. Switching profiles is easier than editing the mpd.conf IMO. I prefer the MPD+Ario combo though

When I used Rhythmbox I enjoyed it. If I remember correctly, it even supports iPods.

Sonata ?
The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner.

But if they tell you that I've lost my mind, maybe it's not gone just a little hard to find...

Give gmusicbrowser a try. I don't know why it doesn't get mentioned very often but it's a great gtk music app.
Or maybe take a look at consonance, as well.
