Hello Everybody,
I'm looking for a viewer that can show me some Power Point Slides (Not OOo and certainly NOT MS Power Point)
I would like to use it as a viewer that captures .pps attachments in my mail.
Does anyone here ever heard of such a program, and where to get it ?
Thanks !

As I recall, the power point viewer was often sent along with the power point data.
I suggest that you may have luck if you put power point viewer on a CD for your use in presenting the power point materials that you wish to display.

The only viewer I can find must be running inside Wine, but that's not what I want.
Isn't there something similar to epdfviewer that can view .pps/.ppt files ?

Why isn't open office good enough for the job, if I may ask? It seems to me the best choice for a native solution, at least.

Well, I'm toying around here and want the lightest solution possible.
Actually this is the only reason that keeps me from switching from Gmail to mutt.
I dont use Open Office, and wont install such a big package just to view some slides

The AUR package xlhtml will convert ppt to html (don't know if converts pps or not). Google docs will work also (depending on file size).

pps is just ppt with a different extension. Changing the extension from ppt -> pps makes powerpoint open it in show/presentation mode.

I didn't know that
Thanks for the hint
