I had my laptop's suspend and hibernate functioning perfectly with pm-utils. I'm running Arch64 on a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4807 and recently when I come out of hibernation or suspention the computer freezes. The log at /var/log/pm-suspend.log shows no errors. When I try to come out of suspension or hibernation, everything goes fine and I see the unlock computer dialogue, but the computer then freezes and accepts no keyboard or mouse input. Can anyone help?
I looked again and there appears (at least to me) to be a problem with powersave resuming. Here's my /var/log/pm-suspend.log.

What happens when you run
sudo pm-powersave
from the command line? That's all the 00powersave script should be doing.
It's not a good permanent solution, but you can try removing the 00powersave script from that folder and see whether you're able to resume successfully. (Do you get the hang consistently?) That will at least help you identify where the problem is coming from.
I see I upgraded pm-utils recently (from 1.2.1-1 to 1.2.2.1-1 in early Oct, from 1.2.2.1-2 in mid-Nov). Check your /var/log/pacman.log to see when you last upgraded this package. Try falling back to an earlier version. Does that resolve the problem? If not, maybe it's a recent kernel upgrade that's doing you in. That's trickier to undo...but you need to do more to isolate what's causing the problem.

you're not alone on this. Have a look at your dmesg for 'acpi region conflicts'. I got the same issue too. When resuming my computer reboots.
ACPI: I/O resource 0000:00:1f.3 [0x400-0x41f] conflicts with ACPI region SMRG [0x400-0x40f]
They say that if you play a Win cd backward you hear satanic messages. That's nothing! 'cause if you play it forwards, it installs windows.

I took 00powersave out of the folder and had the same problem. I get the problem every time I suspend or hibernate. It's weird that it worked one day and without updating a thing (that I remember) it just stopped working. Thanks for your input!
