Unwanted xconsole in GDM - Xfce

I have a laptop where I am using gdm to log in and then Xfce as my desktop.  In both gdm and Xfce there is a xconsole open that I don't use and would like to get rid of. 

I assume it is in the gdm config somewhere but I can't find it.

Dose anyone know where gdm is being told to open xconsole and how to change it so it dose not open xconsole ?
