"SIOCGIFFLAGS error: No such device" when clicking on Network icon

In gnome when I click on the networking icon I get an error saying "SIOCGIFFLAGS error: No such device". I'm using an Atheros AR81XX series gigabit chip. I'm using experimental drivers so that may be the reason.

Yeah the same error occurs when the module is not loaded at all. So first of all, just check that it is loaded if it is you should probably try a stable version of the driver.

Well the module is loaded since I'm able to access the forum. And using a stable version is impossible, as of 2.6.27.7 the ATL1E driver is still experimental. It's not a big deal, I guess I should just remove it, but still.
