I have installed Arch Linux with KDEMOD for the first time following the Beginers Guide. When I rebooted the login screen flashed up.
For some reason my "user' password does not log me in. I cannot get back into "root" to add another username and password.
How can I change my password without reinstalling again? Has anybody got some ideas?

Why can't you get back into root? Switch to another tty and use root login.

I get a splash screen "Welcome to arch linux" with my username in a block on the left side and 2 text boxes with Username an Password. All the combinations I have tried fail to log me in. Then, at the bottom of the screen is a Session type with KDEmod radio button highlighted. Then there is also a menu with Swith User, Remote Login, Console Login and shutdown. When I try Console Login or Swith User I just get back to same login screen.
How do I swith to another tty?

Ctrl+Alt+F1 to switch to tty1 all the way up to Ctrl+Alt+F6 for tty6, tty7 is used for X.
