Avant Window Navigator ("AWN")

Firstly, thanks mOLOk for the PKGBUILD

I've got it working but I've never used it before and I was hoping someone can help me with the following questions:

1.  At the moment my Gnome panel resides at the very bottom of the screen.  Unfortunately, this is where AWN has chosen to show itself as well.  Is there any way I can move AWN to somewhere else on the desktop or do I have no alternative but to move my Gnome Panel?

2.  Currently, the icons in AWM are defaulting to the Gnome icons.  How do I change this as I am currently using a custom icon theme?

yes

as a matter of fact, the launcher configuration menu won't open w/out gnome-python-desktop

AFAIK, you need to move the panel. Otherwise, try out cairo-dock which has options for different placements.
