I can't load the firmware for my intel 2200BG(Centrino) card. The FAQ @ ipw2200.sf.net says I have to load firmware_class, but there's no such module in the Arch stock kernel. I also cannot find a line in .config that resembles it. Does anyone know how this module is called in Arch?
Well, I don't know the specific answer but don't forget all the info in the kernel docs...
you will probably find the answer here
fixed in new package
hotplug changed firmware directorya to /lib/firmware
Thank you, finally I have my wlan working. Would you also happen to know how I can map my device to wlan0 instead of ethx? Adding alias wlan0 ipw2200 to modprobe.conf doesn't seem to work.
sorry i don't have wlan at all
i only provide the drivers
tested 2100 on a friends laptop and know that it works there
try googling :-)
