a bug in keyboard detection?

hi,

My question is actually two questions:
1. i don't want to clutter the relevant bug report (http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/12248) but the bug is really making my life harder. can anyone here help? i think i misunderstood some of the posts there, because i can still see no resolution for this problem.
2. what are the netiques regarding bug reports? should i vote for any bug i want or just for the ones i filed and can contribute help?

thanks,

Re: a bug in keyboard detection?

1, I see no solution either.
2, Bug reporting is highly community based. If you can give helpful feedback, it will likely be appreciated.

The only possible solutions I can offer are
1, Try remapping your keyboard with xbindkeys, or select a different keyboard layout with setxkbmap.
2, Roll back packages perhaps?

Windows was made for looking at success from a distance through a wall of oversimplicity. Linux removes the wall, so you can just walk up to success and make it your own.
