No Mouse or Keyboard after startx

Hi,

so i installed Arch and everything seemed to work good, until i installed gnome and tried startx...

So what happens then is that it gives me the xterm (i think) windows and stuff, but i can't use my mouse or my keyboard! The only thing i can do is restarting...no other keyboard function is working.

I took a look at my logfile and found nothing very strange...only those two things:

- VESA: Backing store disabled
- Screen 0 is not DRI capable

Any ideas?

There are about 40 forum threads here, all made within the past 48 hours and all covering a similar topic.  I suggest browsing the recent threads or using the search function--this has been discussed ad nauseam.
