Finding my sticky note applet notes

When I used Gnome I used to use the sticky note applet on the panel.  I had a few lists of things going to keep in mind, one of them being a list of books I wanted to read.

When I switched to Openbox I started using a todo.txt file, which basically replaced the sticky notes.  But now I want to get at that list of books, and I can't seem to find the file(s) the notes were stored in (I'm not positive this is how it works, but it seems like they have to be stored somewhere).  I've installed gnome-panel and gnome-applets to try to get at them in Openbox; the panel works, and many applets do, too, but the sticky note applet doesn't.

Anyone know where I can look to find them?
