Hardware Inventory Software?

Hello All,

I have recently started a job as Linux Systems Administrator in a small firm that provides black box solutions to clients. I have just been asked to audit the entire company and gather all information regarding the hardware the company owns and all relevant details regarding that hardware. Therefore I have to gather the networking information, the hardware information, the location of the hardware and many other things. I was wondering if anyone knew of a piece of software for Linux (the office uses SUSE 10/11) that will help me in my task. I will be documenting JBOD's, Servers, Desktops and Network devices so all this information is required. I have looked at a simple spreadsheet with the data but it ends up as far too much data to be readable.

Any suggestions are welcome.
Cheers in advance.

+1 for hardinfo

Not sure how you are going to store the data though.
