Tiling WM - firefox fade when no focus

Hi all.
I'm using DWM.  I mainly use firefox and urxvt.  Urxvt has a feature called 'fading' which allows a person to darken terminals which do not have the focus.  I believe 'xcompmgr' could do this, but I remember it being deemed a little buggy and CPU intensive.  Does anyone, using a tiling WM, have a solution for this?

You are correct, xcompmgr can do this and actually does it pretty well iirc.  I've not used it since I used fluxbox about 9 months ago but then it was stable for me.

You're just using the borderpx in dwm now?

Xmonad has an extension that makes unfocused windows transparent, and it works pretty well.

That's correct.  I usually don't have firefox on a tag with anything else, but occasionally I'll have my www tag and my term/chat tag visible at the same time.  I've just gotten used to the borderpx being a differernt color.
