what to pass to xorgconfig when it asks for my horizontal and vertical refresh rate (60 Hz lc display)???

Try using 'X -configure' - it'll do it for you. After it's done its' stuff, just move
or copy the xorg file it creates in /root/ to /etc/X11/ and name it xorg.conf.

Have you looked into 'SystemSettings -> Desktop' to see what frequency is being used ?
My LCD is a 60 hertz, but is running at 50 - no visual problem detected with this setting.

I'm not even sure if that's necessary anymore with xorg, but this is what I've been using for years with my old t21 thinkpad with 15" lcd running at 1024x768 @ 60 hz
HorizSync 31.5-48.5
VertRefresh 50-70I found that after alot of googling, as I said, years ago and has been working for me but with more modern laptops it might be a tad conservative.

If you don't have a manual for your display, you couls always try the manufacturers website
