Does anyone know of a good-quality external TV Tuner device that works well with Linux?

Any of the Hauppauge (spelling?) line of usb products seem to work well for me (I have one of their HD USB sticks). Also, anything with the Fusion 878 chipset works well, although I'm not sure if any external types are made with it.

Thanks iBertus. I had been avoiding Hauppauge before because I had thought Linux had problems, mostly with the WinTV line of tuners. Does WinTV work now as well?

Hmm, I'm looking up the USB Tuners on NewEgg. Seems they have a lot of problems with heat. Does yours have the same problem, and if it doesn't, which model is it?

I used to have a WinTV PCI card ( I cannot recall the model) that I used with the BTTV drivers and tvtime. That worked just fine for me. Heat was never an issue with this card. I stopped using it after my projector ballast went kaput.

I've heard good things about the Hauppauge products. There was an episode of Systm that was about MythTV, and I think they mentioned one or two Linux-compatible tuners. You can find that episode here.
